Principal Ron Tidmore
This year is my 34nd year in education. I started out as a special education teacher in Texas. I spent one year out of teaching and came back into it as a 6th grade teacher. I continued teaching in grades 4 through 6 for the next several years before becoming an administrator. I have been in Roswell for 19 years and this is my 12th year as the principal at Washington Avenue. I love it here in Roswell and especially at Washington Avenue. My wife is an art teacher at the Creative Learning Center. Meg and I have four children: Brandon who lives in Amarillo, Texas, Jenci and husband Luke, Jenci is employed with R.I.S.D, Thad who recently wed Suzette is working for a courier service, and Sarah who graduated from Goddard High School in May 2010.
The district has adopted a new Reading series Pearson Scott Foresman
Building Update: Washington Avenue will have refrigerated air in all parts of the building except the all-purpose room.
