SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE FOR STUDENTS

AFFECTED BY HURRICANE HARVEY

BMS is accepting school supply donations to be taken to the students of Refugio County in Texas who were affected by Hurricane Harvey. About 1000 students in the Austwell-Tivoli, Refugio, Woodsborro and Bayside areas lost many of their items as they were preparing to start school on August 28, 2017.

Mrs. Edwards is going to travel to her Alma Mater of Austwell-Tivoli over the next few months to help those in need and take the school supplies to those who were affected.

Any school supplies are welcome!

Please see Mrs. Edwards or Ms. Main for information about where to put your supplies.

Notice about Uniform Policy for 2017-2018 School Year

In the past we have been lenient about non uniform jackets and sweatshirts worn in the building during the school day.  This year, in order to be as fair and consistent as possible, we will only allow Berrendo sweatshirts in the building.  Students are welcome to wear any jacket outside during recess.  The other rules about the dress code are not changing.

Backpack Policy

Students may bring backpacks to and from school but they must stay in their locker during the day.

BUSES/DROP-OFF/PICK-UP

Berrendo Middle School is a bussing school.  Please put your student on the bus.

If you are bringing your child to school, please drop them off or pick them up in the right-hand lane ONLY.  Your child can get out of the vehicle anywhere along the sidewalk.  They do not have to wait to get to the front of the line to exit the vehicle.  The left lane is for passing and exiting only.

STUDENT CELL PHONES

Student cell phones are to be turned off and kept in lockers during the school day.

NO GUM at SCHOOL!

Gum is not allowed on campus.
