NM Math Tutoring Corp

NMPED is now accepting applications for the NM Math Tutoring Corp.  NMPED will hire 150 licensed teachers and/or retired teachers to tutor algebra I high school students across New Mexico.

You do NOT need to be highly qualified in math or teach secondary math in order to be a tutor, you just need to have an interest in math instruction and hold a valid NM teaching license.

NMPED in collaboration with Saga Consult will provide the curriculum, virtual platform (Saga Connect) and training so that you can be successful!  NM Math Tutoring Corp training will occur between September and October.  Training will be both asynchronous and synchronous (virtual).

Tutors will be assigned 3-4 algebra I students and work with these same students three (3) times a week for 45 minutes for 14 weeks between January and April, 2023.  Tutoring schedules are extremely flexible.  Tutors will be able to select the best days/times that fit their schedules.  Please note, tutoring will occur outside the school day.  Therefore, Monday through Friday tutoring sessions can begin as early as 4:00 p.m. and end as late as 9:00 p.m. or Saturday and Sunday sessions can begin as early at 9:00 a.m. and end as late as 12:00 p.m.

NM Math Tutoring Corp tutors will be compensated $50.00/hour, not to exceed $4,000.
