La Casa Behavioral Health is seeking to hire a part, or full-time substance abuse prevention specialist who will work as a team member alongside program coordinator to address youth substance use in Chaves County. This individual will be trained to facilitate an evidence-based curriculum in secondary level schools throughout the school district. The successful candidate will also attend meetings, engage in strategic planning and evaluation as well as participate in events to engage with the community and grant stakeholders. This individual must possess the qualities necessary to facilitate youth substance abuse prevention curriculum in the classroom such as warmth, good communication, good organizational skills, good classroom management skills and good public relations. A flexible personality is best-suited for this job. A minimum of a Bachelor degree is required. Bi-lingual will be preferred, but demonstration of cultural competency will be necessary.
