Notice about Uniform Policy for 2018-2019 School Year

In the past we have been lenient about non uniform jackets and sweatshirts worn in the building during the school day.  This year, in order to be as fair and consistent as possible, we will only allow Berrendo sweatshirts in the building.  Students are welcome to wear any jacket outside during recess.  The other rules about the dress code are not changing.

Backpack Policy

Students may bring backpacks to and from school but they must stay in their locker during the day.

BUSES/DROP-OFF/PICK-UP

Berrendo Middle School is a bussing school.  Please put your student on the bus.

If you are bringing your child to school, please drop them off or pick them up in the right-hand lane ONLY.  Your child can get out of the vehicle anywhere along the sidewalk.  They do not have to wait to get to the front of the line to exit the vehicle.  The left lane is for passing and exiting only.

STUDENT CELL PHONES

Student cell phones are to be turned off and kept in lockers during the school day.

NO GUM at SCHOOL!

Gum is not allowed on campus.

LOST & FOUND ITEMS

Parents, the lost and found at BMS is full of sweatshirts, backpacks, glasses, hats, pencil pouches, textbooks, and other items.  Please label your child’s belongings and remind your child to check the lost and found for missing items.  We recycle items left unclaimed for too long.  Thank you.

UNIFORM POLICY

Berrendo Middle School is a uniform school, and we make every effort to accommodate student dress needs within the boundaries of the uniform policy.  The policy states:
