Board Member, District #2 Term: Appointed to serve a portion of the District #2 term ending December 31, 2027, with an election to fill the remainder of the term, if any, occurring in November 2027.
The Roswell Independent School District Board of Education is seeking qualified applicants to fill a vacancy on the Board. The appointed individual will serve a portion of the District #2 term December 31, 2027, and uphold the mission of RISD and work for our students, staff and community. The appointed individual has the option to run for election in November 2027 to continue serving in the position after December 31, 2027.
Responsibilities include:
- Attending regular and special board meetings
- Setting District policy and budget
- Hiring and evaluating the Superintendent
