Board Goals

Goal 1: Strategic Planning

The Board will draft and approve a resolution calling for the superintendent to undertake a strategic planning process which will broadly involve staff and community. The Board will monitor the strategic planning process and will ultimately approve the strategic plan.

Goal 2: Utilizing Board Self-Evaluation Data

The Board will utilize data generated in July 2017 and October 2018 to work on continuous improvement of Board performance. This will include at least two specific strategies related to the data.

Goal 3: Improve District Culture

The Board will study, and if determined appropriate, the possibility of conducting a school climate study of the Roswell Independent Schools with the intent of establishing a baseline to monitor district climate over time.

Goal 4: Create an Educational Foundation to Benefit the Roswell Independent Schools

The Board will undertake appropriate steps to facilitate the development of an Educational Foundation independent of the school district but with the intent purpose of benefiting the school district students and staff.

OPEN MEETINGS NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE REGULAR open meetings of the Board of Education of the Roswell Independent School District, Roswell, New Mexico will be held on the second Tuesday of each month, unless otherwise specified, at the hour of six o’clock pm in the Boardroom of the Administrative and Educational Services Complex, 300 N Kentucky, Roswell, for the purpose of discussing and taking action upon items listed on the agenda for such meeting, and upon items properly arising during the course of the meeting. Copies of the agenda will be available to the public online at www.risd.k12.nm.us or at the front office of the Administrative and Educational Services Complex, 300 N Kentucky, Roswell, New Mexico at least seventy-two (72) hours prior to the meeting.
