TheHispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF)invites you to help us identify HSF Scholars by becoming a Certified Essay Reader!
As a Certified Essay Reader, you'll have the opportunity to make a difference by evaluating 20 essays from the comfort of your own home or workplace between now and May 15, 2023. No travel will be required, as essays can be read wherever you have internet access (e.g., work, home, etc.).
Applying to become a Reader is a two-step process: 1) submitting an application, and 2) completing a brief, online certification course.
You will need a myHSF account to log in.
- If you already have a myHSF account, please read the information below and click on the Reader Application link that follows!
- If you do not have a myHSF account, please create one now. When signing up, make sure to create an account with an "HSF Supporter" role. Once your account is created, please read the information below before clicking on the Reader Application link that follows!
Once logged in, you will see a "Reader Application" on your dashboard. If you see other forms on your dashboard, you may need to toggle between forms to access the application. If the form is not immediately available, please allow 5-10 minutes for the system to update your dashboard.
Reader Application Process:
- Reader Application/Certification – February 15, 2023, to April 30, 2023 (applications and certification will be approved on a rolling basis)
- Essay Reading – March 15, 2023, to May 15, 2023

This role is offered on a volunteer basis. No reimbursements or honoraria will be provided.
